‘The All Night Strut Holiday Show!’ returns to Detroit’s Gem

Let the holiday shows begin. Detroit’s Gem Theatre will present “The All Night Strut Holiday Show,” Nov. 23-Dec. 31, a two-act musical that carries audiences through the Depression, World War II and the post war boom. It’s an evening filled with jazz, blues, bebop and classical songs composed by legendary songwriters like Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser and Duke Ellington.
The return of “The All Night Strut Holiday Show,” at Detroit’s sparkling Gem commemorates its inaugural appearance at the venue 20 years ago, which resulted in the show’s longest run in history.
Gem & Century Theatres are at 333 Madison Ave., Detroit. For tickets and show times, visit The Gem Theatre or call the box office at 313-963-9800.
